16x20 Black Framed Intaglios (Matted to 4x10)

Gold metal 16x20 framed intaglios (3) set on a 4x10 mat opening. The mat and background are a matte black but you can customize to another color way. The first photo shows the black mat with black beveled interior and gold frame. The second photo shows the black mat with a white beveled interior and black frame. You can choose to interchange these options as you choose. The listing is for one frame but they look great as a duo!

Our intaglios are made from high quality art plaster, therefore, each piece can slightly vary. Intaglio is an Italian word meaning "engrave." Intaglios were used to commemorate historical figures, architecture, and places. Before photography, people would collect Intaglios as keepsakes of their travels. During the 18th century, plaster intaglios became souvenirs for those embarking on the Grand Tour, a European journey emphasizing art and history.
