16x20 Framed Intaglio Art

Beautiful 16x20 Framed Intaglios. The frame is gold leafed to give an antique look. Frame is matted to 8x10. Listing is for 1 frame, but these look great as a trio! Shown with the Cornflower Blue background color in the first photo, and the Nautical Blue Gray in the second. The frame is a thin metal with a saw hook back for easy mounting.

Our intaglios are made from high quality art plaster, therefore, each piece can slightly vary. Intaglio is an Italian word meaning "engrave." Intaglios were used to commemorate historical figures, architecture, and places. Before photography, people would collect Intaglios as keepsakes of their travels. During the 18th century, plaster intaglios became souvenirs for those embarking on the Grand Tour, a European journey emphasizing art and history.
